For almost 30 years, sports fans, history buffs and pop culture enthusiasts have been putting their knowledge to the test as they attempt to answer questions across a range of subjects in Trivial Pursuit. Created in 1979 by two Canadian journalists, the game has come to be regarded as "the ultimate trivia challenge". The game first appeared in the U.S. in 1982, and by 1984 more than 15 million games were produced. To date, more than 75 million boxes have been sold in 26 languages.
The current lineup of Trivial Pursuit games includes the sixth edition of the original Genus game, as well as a number of versions tied to sports teams or popular TV shows and movies.
